OVERVIEW

Prize Runners is a trading card game developed over the course of an entire semester, focused on creating a complete game system and visual identity. The core objective of the game is simple and direct: players win by knocking out their opponent’s prize card, making strategy and card interaction central to gameplay.
The brand identity is built around a bold purple and gold color scheme, reinforcing the theme of competition and reward. The game system features six main color types, each corresponding to a color used in the game icon and representing a different category of cards, with rare cards operating outside of this standard color structure. This system helps organize gameplay while creating clear visual distinction between card types.
All characters were hand-drawn, then digitized and prepared for print, emphasizing a handcrafted aesthetic within a structured design framework. This project combines illustration, branding, and system-based design to create a cohesive and fully realized card game experience.
